NATIONAL PARK SERVICE AND FORD’S THEATRE SOCIETY ANNOUNCE INCREASED ADVANCE RESERVATION FEE EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2010
Reservation Convenience Charge to Increase from $1.50 to $2.50
Washington, D.C.—The National Park Service (NPS) and Ford’s Theatre Society today announced that beginning September 1, 2010, the convenience charge for an advance reservation to Ford’s Theatre National Historic Site (511 10th Street, N.W.) will increase from $1.50 to $2.50 per ticket for individuals. The increase will support staffing and other costs incurred by Ford's Theatre Society associated with its assistance in operating the site. The increase will not affect the free, same-day tickets that are picked up at the Ford’s Theatre Box Office. The convenience charge for group tickets will remain at $1.25.
Visits to Ford’s Theatre
Ford’s Theatre is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (except Thanksgiving and December 25). Admission is free but does require a ticket for all visitor two years of age and older. The Ford's Theatre Box Office opens at 8:30 a.m. for distribution of free same-day, timed tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Individuals are limited to six tickets per person for same day tickets.
Advance Individual Tickets
Advance tickets are available for visitors wishing to reserve a specific time for their visit. A convenience fee of $2.50 per ticket is charged for advance tickets. No exchanges or refunds. Online and phone ticket sales are handled through Ticketmaster (additional Ticketmaster fees apply). Tickets can be held at the Ford’s Theatre Box Office Will Call. No telephone orders will be accepted for single ticket orders through the Ford’s Theatre Box Office.

Advance Group Tickets
Groups of 20 or more can reserve advance tickets by calling the group sales office at Ford’s Theatre or by reserving tickets online through Ticketmaster (Ticketmaster fees will apply). Group tickets are available at a discounted convenience fee of $1.25 per ticket. Payment is due in full at time of reservation.
