The Ford’s Theatre campus (Museum, Theatre, Petersen House and Center for Education and Leadership) will close early
on December 24 and will be closed on December 25.
Ford’s Theatre Society is a private 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to celebrating the legacy of President Abraham Lincoln and exploring the American experience through theatre and education. Through their generous support, members of the corporate and business community play a vital part in making history come alive at Ford’s Theater.
Board of Governors
Through membership in the Board of Governors, corporations can take advantage of a number of benefits, such as co-hosting a private event in the Ford’s Theatre Ronald O. Perelman Board Room, attending the Ford’s Theatre annual gala, receiving discounted tickets to shows and participating in private, after-hours tours of the Theatre. Support through the Board of Governors allows Ford’s Theatre to connect with learners of all ages and produce world-class theatre. To view our current Board of Governors members, click here.
Each season, Ford’s Theatre produces four mainstage productions focusing on the American experience through theatre. While ticket sales account for a portion of the costs associated with these productions, Ford’s Theatre would not be able to produce high quality theatre without the generous support of corporate partners. Corporate sponsorship of a mainstage production allows a company the opportunity to support local theatre with a national presence as Ford’s Theatre welcomes guests from across the country and around the world to all of its productions. Benefits of sponsorship include access to the invitation-only VIP opening of the sponsored production, additional tickets to other performances, recognition in various media and complimentary tickets to the annual Ford’s Theatre gala. Corporations may support Ford’s Theatre through the sponsorship of our education programming. Ford’s Theatre works with students and teachers, both locally and nationally. Our programs reach out to students to work on oratory techniques, which help students learn to speak in public, articulate their ideas successfully and gain knowledge of historic events. We also offer guided tours of Ford’s campus (both live and virtual), discounted or free tickets to mainstage productions, and student workshops. We also partner with historic sites from around Washington, D.C., to offer a series of teacher training workshops during the summer. Corporate partners for our education programs can sponsor education in general or focus on particular programs. Benefits can be customized to fit the corporation. Ford’s Theatre offers its nearly 700,000 visitors a self-guided hand-held audio/multimedia tour of the renovated museum and theatre. Acoustiguide gives our visitors the opportunity to connect with Abraham Lincoln’s legacy and invites them to explore his leadership. Ford’s offers two guide versions, an adult guide and a youth guide (ages 8 and up). As the sponsor of this service, your company will have the opportunity to reach thousands of visitors of all ages and provide an important service at Ford’s Theatre.
Site Map Sponsorship
Each year, more than 700,000 visitors from across the country and world come to Ford’s Theatre to learn about President Lincoln’s legacy, and each of these visitors will use a site map to take full advantage of all that the Ford’s Theatre campus has to offer. These visitors include school groups from across the country, families visiting Washington, D.C., and visitors from abroad. As the sponsor of the site map, your company would see hundreds of thousands of impressions, and would have the opportunity to work with Ford's to include special offers to these visitors, and take the visitor experience online.
For more information about any of these opportunities, please contact Rae Davidson, Corporate Relations Assistant, at (202) 638-2941 ext. 533 or via email.
