Fridays, July 8-29

Have you ever wanted to stand on the stage at America’s most famous theatre? Or visit the anteroom that leads to the box where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated? Have you seen the alley where John Wilkes Booth began his 12-day run from the law? Take an intimate, guided look at these locations and more on Ford’s Theatre’s “Behind the Scenes” tour.

This 65-minute tour lets you step into the shoes of the attendees, actors, and stagehands who witnessed Lincoln’s assassination. It explores John Wilkes Booth’s escape and examines how his plan to kidnap the President evolved into the assassination plot.

Each tour is limited to 12 people. Tours include entry into the historic theatre. Tickets to see the museum, Petersen House or Center for Education and Leadership must be reserved separately.
