Join us for “Through Lincoln’s Words: Oratory Festival.” In honor of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, students from third- through eighth-grade classrooms across the D.C. area perform a selection of Lincoln’s most historic speeches on the Ford’s Theatre stage. Come hear Lincoln’s memorable words and leave feeling inspired!

The February 7 performances will feature third- through fifth-grade students from D.C.’s Watkins Elementary School and Center City Public Charter School-Trinidad Campus, Maryland’s Thomas Pullen Creative and Performing Arts Academy and Ports Town Elementary School, and Virginia’s Taylor Elementary School will take to the stage. The February 8 performances will feature fifth- through eighth-grade students from D.C.’s Brent Elementary, Horace Mann Elementary, Maury Elementary and Mary McLeod Bethune Day Academy, and Virginia’s Jefferson-Houston PreK-8 School, George Washington Middle School, and Fairhill Elementary.

“Through Lincoln’s Words: Oratory Festival” is included as part of a Historic Site visit ticket.
