2023 – 2024 Season

This season brings joyous, restorative life to our American past and takes audiences on hero’s journeys. From a flower shop on Skid Row to the city of Atlanta, these stories emphasize community, courage and transformation. We are proud to present this season with all-DMV local casts and continue our commitment to sharing stories that have made an important impact on our history and future.

Experience a live performance in a historic theatre like no other!

Since its reopening in 1968, Ford’s Theatre has produced plays and musicals celebrating the legacy of Abraham Lincoln and exploring the American experience. With commissions like The Guard and Lincoln-based premieres such as The Heavens Are Hung in Black and Necessary Sacrifices, Ford’s Theatre is making its mark on American theatre.
